The resident's guide
Join a town, get a plot, know what you can build and what to do before you move out.

🔎 1. Find a town
/t listshows every town. Open towns can be joined directly.- Look at the live map and visit with
/t spawn <town>if the town is public. - Read the Towns & recruitment category of the forums: towns post their rules and what they're looking for.
- Ask in chat: mayors love new residents, since each one gives them 8 chunks.

If the town isn't open, ask the mayor or an assistant: they'll invite you with /t add <you>.
🏡 3. Get your plot
A plot is a chunk of the town that belongs to you. On your plot, only you (and your friends) can build. Ask the mayor where you can settle, then:

Note
On the town's land that isn't your plot, you can only build if the mayor allows residents to. More in Plots and Town permissions.
🤝 4. Being a good resident
- 🏛️ Respect the town's style and rules: ask before building on shared land.
- 💵 Taxes are taken every day at noon from your money. If you can't pay the town tax you are kicked from the town, and if you can't pay a plot's tax, that plot goes back to the town.
- 🏦 Help the town:
/t deposit <amount>puts money in the bank, which pays the $10 daily upkeep. - 💬 Use the town chat
/tcto talk with your neighbours.
📦 5. Before you move out
- 1Empty your chests and take your valuables: after you leave, they're in the town's hands.
- 2Tell the mayor, and hand over what you want to leave to the town.
