Town ranks & roles
Every town role on Survival, exactly what it can do, and how to assign it.

Every town has one mayor and any number of residents. The mayor can give residents extra ranks to share the work. A resident can hold several ranks at once, and their permissions add up.
📋 What each role can do
| Role | Main powers |
|---|---|
| 👑 Mayor | Everything: claims, bank withdrawals, taxes, settings, ranks, kicks, jail. Pays no town tax. |
| 🛠️ Assistant | Claim land, invite players, manage every plot, toggle public spawn, open doors and chests on town land, give the Helper and VIP ranks, jail outlaws. Pays no town tax. |
| 🤝 Helper | Use doors, chests, furnaces and other switches on town-owned land. |
| 🚔 Sheriff | Jail and unjail players, see the jail list. |
| ⭐ VIP | A cosmetic title. No extra permissions. |
| 🧑 Resident | Build on town land, buy plots, deposit money, use town spawn and town chat. |
Only the mayor touches the money
Withdrawing from the bank, setting taxes, kicking residents and changing town settings are mayor-only. Assistants can spend the bank indirectly by claiming land, so only give that rank to people you trust.

Suggested setup
Give Assistant to one or two co-founders, Helper to active builders who need chest access, and Sheriff to whoever handles troublemakers.
